Ohanaeze Lagos Congratulates Chief John Uche @ 70: Life Full Of Courage, Wisdom And Selfless service To Ndigbo.

The founding president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State, Chief John Uche, has been described as a courageous man filled with uncommon wisdom, who has made great sacrifices and rendered selfless services towards the betterment of Ndigbo in Lagos and beyond . This was contained in a felicitation letter, written by Chief Leo Okafor, President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos Chapter, and addressed to Chief Uche, on the special occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.
In the congratulatory message to the pioneer president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos Chapter, a copy of which was made available to Ohanaeze Lagos News, Chief Leo Okafor, paid encomium to Chief John Uche, describing as “a shining light of wisdom, courage, sacrifice and selfless service to Ndigbo in Lagos State and beyond.”

The letter says ” on this landmark occasion of your 70th birthday, I, on behalf of the leadership and entire members of the Igbo community in Lagos, hereby extend our warm congratulations to you, High Chief John Uche, Akpati Nsiegbe, the pioneer president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos Chapter.
Your journey has been one of steady light in times that demanded courage .” Continuing, the letter says ” as the first to bear the mantle of leadership for Ndigbo in Lagos, you laid a foundation built on wisdom, courage, sacrifice and selfless service”.
The Ohanaeze Lagos president, popularly known as Oba Ojoto, added; ” today many of us who serve can now walk the path you had cleared with full determination and unwavering commitment to our people “.

While wishing him well, Chief Okafor stated, ” at 70, may God Almighty continue to preserve your strength, enlarge your days in good health , peace, honour and overflowing blessings.”

Oba Ojoto further prayed that the legacies of Chief Uche would never fade away, while his name continued to command respect, and that the seeds he had planted, and nurtured for unity and progress, would flourish for generations yet unborn.
