Ohanaeze Ndigbo Election Was Done, Dusted Before Court Enrollment Order, Ndigbo Stand On Oba Ojoto's Mandate --- Say's Chief Aguene

Following misconceptions by some alleged mischief Makers over a sworn affidavit purportedly before Justice Balogun of the Lagos State High Court, top Igbo Leader and Emeritus President of the Apex Pan Igbo Socio Cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has cleared the air, insisting that Ndigbo never denied the freest and fairest election that brought Chief Leonard Okafor to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Presidency.

While debunking the false narrative being Circulated by Enemies Of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State, Chief Aguene stated categorically that he discharged his constitutional duties in tandem with the Court Consent Judgement and directives issued by the President General of the Apex body, Senator John Azuta-Mbata on March 29, 2026, before the Court enrollment Order was issued, by constituting an all encompassing electoral Committee, in collaboration with Ohanaeze Ndigbo Stakeholders, Leaders, Ndiezes and General Assembly.

Explaining, the Igbo Leader who stated that he believes in the Rule of Law, Judiciary and constitutionality ,noted that he was not part of the Independent electoral Committee and the final conduct of the election, he however confirmed that every process concerning the election and it’s conduct was implemented before the enrollment Order was issued.

Further correcting the erroneous impression as regards the affidavit before the court, he denied ever denying the election, but however, stated that the court was informed that no electoral process was instituted or conducted after the enrollment Order was issued, as the committee which was not part of the litigation before the Court ,had concluded it’s mandate even before the court Order that directed parties to maintain status quo .

He warned those Shunning ,disrespecting and disregarding the last Court directives on exploring peaceful resolution in the Organization ,to desist from fanning the embers of bitterness and further crisis, as their dispositions are likely to keep the case lingering indefinitely .

He praised the Judge For the rear wisdom that allowed Parties to explore peace, noting that the directive from the Court will be adhered to by him

According to him, the June 19,2026, Court adjourned date, is just a precursor to greater legal fireworks ahead, warning that if opposition group thwarts the peaceful resolution directives by the Court, with their ongoing social media mock trials , Ndigbo in Lagos will loss greatly by not benefiting from the Court timely intervention.
